Weight Control
There is so much press and publicity about Weight Loss, it is prudent, to look at this topic now.
We have all heard of these "wonderful restrictive diets" that seem to work for a few few weeks, then we lose interest and we end up heavier than when we started the diet!
Why?
The operative word is "Balance". You must eat three main meals and have snacks in between. In fact I tell people who want to lose weight to EAT MORE!!! That is right Eat More, not less, but the right foods. Sometime my clients stare at me as if I am mad … how can you eat more and lose weight? EASY! Your diet should consist of both Protein and Carbohydrates, but leaning towards more Protein.
Protein is fish, meat, eggs, chicken, soy, nuts and carbohydrates (so called good carbs) are fruit, vegetables, salad, oats, brown bread, grains. This forms the basis of a great diet that will keep your energy levels up and help you lose excess weight.
Exercise is very important, simply the more you do the more excess weight you lose and at the same time you tone up your body. About 4 or 5 times a week is great for exercise – rest days are important.
Hungry between meals – usually about 11.00am and 4.00pm? Then eat fruit and have a Protein Drink. Fills you up, then takes away the hunger pangs. Leaves you with more energy!
