Weleda's range of winter wellness products offers effective natural medicines for the whole family.
Weleda's Organic Cough Elixir is a soothing and expectorant cough medicine for both children and adults. This pleasant-tasting elixir relieves both wet and dry coughs and contains no synthetic preservatives, artificial colours or flavours.
Weleda Cough Elixir is made from a combination of biodynamic, organic and wild harvested herbs including soothing Marshmallow root, Aniseed and Drosera (Sundew) combined with expectorant Marrubium, Plantain and Thyme, and homeopathic Ipecacuanha and Pulsatilla.
Weleda Organic Cough Elixir is manufactured using traditional herbal methods over three days. The dried herbs are soaked for 12 hours, and then boiled as a decoction. Raw sugar and malt are added to produce a syrup, and upon cooling the homoeopathic liquids are added. After filtering, it is bottled and pasteurised. The raw sugar softens the herbal taste and acts as a preservative.
NB: Diabetics should be aware of the sugar content.
